CENIX BIOSCIENCE MOVES INTO NEW, STATE OF THE ART FACILITIES IN DRESDEN’S BIO-INNOVATION CENTER

Dresden, Germany – May 17, 2004. Cenix BioScience, the premier specialist in advanced RNAi research services, today announced that it has now moved all operations into brand new facilities within Dresden’s recently completed BioInnovation Center (BIOZ).

Cenix BioScience offers premium research services combining genome-driven high throughput applications of RNA interference (RNAi) with high content readout methodologies in human cells, Drosophila and C. elegans to accelerate and improve the quality of drug discovery in diverse disease areas.

For the last 3 years, all operations have been housed within Dresden’s Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG), one of Cenix’s parent institutes along with the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, where Cenix started work in October 2000. The new location, which offers over 800 square meters of fully customized facilities in the BIOZ, will provide ample space for Cenix’s rapidly expanding RNAi-related research services.
