Dr. Marc W. Hentz (Chairman
of
the
Board): Dr. Hentz joined Biopolis Consultants
as a Partner in 2002. Prior to Biopolis, Dr. Hentz gained industrial
experience at A.T. Kearny Management Consulting, Düsseldorf and
the Industrial Investment Council GmbH, Berlin, a strategic advisory
organization that facilitates direct investment in the new German
states. There he gained significant expertise in investment consulting,
site marketing and location services for international investors in the
biotech, pharma, medical device and chemicals sectors. Dr. Hentz
received his Ph.D. in cell biology/molecular biology in 1998, after
studying chemistry at Hamburg University and the University of
California at San Diego.

Dr. Bettina Schrick (Board
Member): Dr. Schrick joined TechnoStart in 2003 and is an
investment manager in charge of biotech, new materials and chemistry
portfolio companies. Prior to TechnoStart, Dr. Schrick led research as
a postdoctoral scientist on nanomaterials at the
Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, lived and studied in the USA
for 10 years, where she graduated with a Ph.D. in chemistry from the
Pennsylvania State University in 2002, and a Bachelor in chemistry from
the Rutgers University in New Jersey in 1996. She gained industrial
experience as an analytical chemist at Dragoco (now Symrise AG) from
1996-1997.

Evert Kueppers (Board
Member):
Mr. Kueppers is Managing Director of Mazor Consult,
a Life Sciences consultancy firm servicing European / Israeli venture
capital and biotech firms. Mr. Kueppers has repeatedly proven to be
able
to drive start-up businesses, increasing shareholder value. For
example, as CEO of alternative protein scaffold Pieris AG, he
successfully restructured and refinanced the Company by raising over
EUR 30 Mill., whilst as Head of Business Development he played a
pivotal role in the corporate development of IDEA AG by signing the
largest German licensing deal in 2003. Previously, Mr. Kueppers worked
for the global pharmaceutical / health care practice of AT Kearney,
based in London, UK, and acquired extensive operational experience at
BASF Pharma (now Abbott Labs.). Mr. Kueppers has a background in
advanced biomedical sciences, and an MBA degree from the Erasmus
University Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
